There’s a Hyundai and Kia recall alert for approximately 500,000 vehicles. The 2013 to 2014 model year Hyundai Elantras and Kia Fortes with model years 2012 to 2014 are affected.
The issue is with the brake pedal stopper pad. When this part of the vehicle becomes worn down, it can result in the brake lights remaining on even when the driver has taken their foot off of the brake pedal.
Hyundai Elantra and Kia Fortes owners affected will receive a letter from the car manufacturers. The replacement part and labor should be free. If you receive any sort of bill from the dealership, contact us and we will help you dispute this claim.

Kia is recalling over 300,000 Kia Souls in the U.S. due to steering issues.
Kia Soul Recall Info
The 2014-2016 KIA models had previously been recalled for the same issue and may have been improperly fixed.
The pinion plug may not be secured, and could therefore cause the pinion gear to disconnect from the steering gear. This could cause the driver to lose control of steering, resulting in accident and injury.
The automotive company claims no injuries have been reported in connection to the recall. They plan to notify drivers in November.
