  • According to Cars.com, the right half-shaft was improperly heat-treated, decreasing its strength. This malfunction can result in the half-shaft breaking which could prevent the engine from moving the vehicle.
  • The error can also cause the vehicle to roll away from its intended spot if the parking break is not fully engaged.
  • The Honda Civic recall affects approximately 5,400 vehicles in the U.S.

Honda will not begin notifying drivers for TWO WEEKS. This poses a danger for Honda owners traveling during the holiday season.
