Honda Recalls 800,000 Odyssey Minivans

2011 Honda Odyssey

Honda has recalled 800,000 Odyssey Minivans from 2011-2017 due to loose seats.

The second row of seating in the vehicles may tip forward if not secured properly when placed back after being taken out, or if adjusted.

If moderate to heavy breaking occurs, the seats will move. This increases the risk of injury, and Honda has in fact received 46 reports of injuries due to this malfunction.

Honda does not have a permanent solution. They are simply posting an instructional sheet and video online showing customers how to properly reinstall their seats.

Odyssey owners will not be notified until a solution is found, so many drivers will be driving around with these seats that shift around.
